Paglo Web account
To administer your Paglo Web account, click the Account link in the upper right corner of your browser on any page of your account.
User Settings
On the User Settings tab, you can choose from the following options:
Change your name
On the User Settings tab, you can change your name:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the User Settings tab under About You, enter a new name.
- Click Change.
Change your password
On the User Settings tab, you can change the password of your Paglo Web account. However, you cannot change the email address. Your email address is how Paglo keeps your data separate from that of other Paglo users. If you want to change your email address, you must delete the account it is attached to, and create a new Paglo account with the new email address.
To change your password:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the User Settings tab under Change Password, enter a new password, and confirm.
- In the Reenter Password field, enter the new password again to confirm.
- Click Change Password.
Delete your account
On the User Settings tab, you can delete your account and all of the data that it contains.
To change your name:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the User Settings tab under Delete Your Account, click Delete Account.
Warning: All of your data will be lost if you delete your account. Note that this removes your email address (which is how Paglo recognizes you) from Paglo completely. If you have multiple companies associated with one email address, all are removed by this action.
Company Settings
On the Company Settings tab, you can choose from the following options:
- Change your company name
- Access your Data Key
- View multiple companies
- Create multiple companies
- Multiple Crawlers for one company
Change your company name
On the Company Settings tab, you can change the name of your company without affecting its data. To change your company name:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the Company Settings tab under Company Name, enter a new company name.
- Click Rename Company.
Access your Data Key
Under Data Key, you can select and copy the data key to paste into your Crawler. The Data Key cannot be changed, but you can view or copy it from this page to paste into your Paglo Crawler configuration.
To view or copy your data key:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the Company Settings tab under Data Key, view or copy the data key.
View multiple companies
Under Data Key, you can switch to a different company that's associated with your email address. All of the companies whose data you have read-rights to are listed on this page. This includes your own company, the fictitious sample company that Paglo includes to experiment with, plus any data that other Paglo users have invited you to view.
To see the companies that you have access to:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the Company Settings tab under Data Key, view or link to the companies whose data you have viewing rights to.
- Click a company link to switch to a different company.
Create multiple companies
Under Create a New Company, you can add a new company with a separate search index. In that way, you can manage multiple search indexes under the same user login, and keep the data separated for each. Each company is associated with your original account and identified by the same email address, but each has a unique data key. You'll see the list of all of the companies whose data you have visibility to, on the Company Settings page.
To add a new company or Search Index to your account:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account => Company Settings.
- On the Account Management page on the Company Settings tab under Create a New Company, enter a name for your new Search Index.
- Click Create Company.
- Install a Paglo Crawler in the new location, and paste this data key for the existing account option.
When you create a new company or search index, Paglo issues it a new data key. It is still associated with your original email address. You'll receive a notification similar to this one:
Your new company has been created, and you are now logged into it. You will need to configure a Crawler to send data to this search index by configuring the Crawler with the new data key: 0123456e789ce12a34ac567d8d91aaa2d3d45ca
The new Crawler will now send information about the new company to your account.
After you set up more than one new company or search index, you can switch between them using the Account menu at the top of the screen:
Multiple Crawlers for one Index
You can set up multiple Crawlers to collect data and send their information to a single search index by using the same data key with each Crawler.
To add multiple Crawlers to the same company or Search Index:
- Install a Paglo Crawler on a machine in the new network or subnet.
- On the Register Your Crawler page of the install wizard, click I already have a Paglo Web account, and paste in the existing data key.
The new Crawler will now send the data it collects to the existing Search Index.
Index Settings
On the Index Settings tab, you can choose from the following options:
View your Search Index
On the Index Settings tab, you can see how many megabytes your Search Index uses:
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the Index Settings tab, view how many megabytes your Search Index is using.
Clear your Search Index
On the Index Settings tab, you can delete all of the data in your Search Index without deleting the account itself. Paglo repopulates your Search Index the next time your Paglo Crawler scans your network again.
- In the upper right corner of your browser window, click Account.
- On the Account Management page on the Index Settings tab, click Clear Search Index.
The Search Index is repopulated the next time the Paglo Crawler runs.
