Intro to search

Use Paglo the same way you use your browser.

Just log in to your Paglo Web account, and search your network data for the answers to virtually any IT questions that you have. The Paglo Crawler continually scans your network, discovers everything about it, and indexes your data, so it's up to date whenever you search it.

Basic search

The simplest search consists of a single word or phrase. To run a basic search:

  1. Choose a single word or a phrase in quotes:

    • Type a single word in the Search field at the top of any page, such as eth0 or 2008. Or you can try it in the search box below, which is pre-set to find devices on your network:

    • Type a phrase surrounded by double-quotes in the field, such as "system name" or "private key". Or try it in the search box below, which is pre-set to find network adapters on your network:

  2. Execute the search in one of the following ways:

    • Click the blue Search button.

    • On your keyboard, press the Tab key => Enter key.

    • On your keyboard, press the Space bar => Enter key.

You'll see the search results displayed underneath the Search bar:

  3. If you're satisfied with the results of the search, you may want to save it so you can run it again in the future. Or, you may want to tweak it to get broader, narrower, or more specific results:

    • Save the search results to run again in the future.

    • Refine the search for better results.

After the first search

When you get the first set of search results, you can drill down for greater detail, broaden the search for more information, or narrow the search for more specific information in the following ways:
